On 13-14 September 2021, in Poronin, in Poland took place the first meeting of the partners in the project ”Contemporary challenges of Employee Participation – Opposing the Negative Results of COVID-19”.

The meeting was attended in person and through the ZOOM program, by representatives of the project partners:

• All Poland’s Alliance of Trade Unions (OPZZ), Polska,
• Association of Building Entrepreneurs in the Czech Republic (ABE) – Czechy,
• Asociación Industrial Técnica y de Comercio (ASITECO) – Hiszpania,
• CCOO de Industria (CCOO), Hiszpania,
• Unification of Lithuanian Metalworkers’ Trade Unions (LMPSS), Litwa,
• Confederaţia Naţionala Sindicală Cartel ALFA (Cartel ALFA), Romania,
• Kaevurite ja Energeetikute Soltumatu Ametiūhing (KESA), Estonia.

The meeting proceeded according to the agenda presented by the project partner. Project partners presented their organizations and expectations concerning the project. A discussion was held on the European Green Deal as a roadmap for transforming the European Union’s economy into a sustainable economy. The discussion was preceded by a lecture and presentation by the project partner on the topic. They also discussed the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the European Green Deal agenda and the role of the social partners during this period.
